Full Moon in Cancer // January 3, 2026

On January 3, 2026, the moon is full at 5:02am Eastern.

The moon is in its home sign at 13° Cancer making a wide, but applying conjunction to exalted Jupiter retrograde. The moon has just come from an opposition with Venus and is heading directly into an opposition with Mars.

The moon in Cancer is always seeking nourishment, care, comfort, and continuity. The moon in cancer is tied to memory, to sentimentality, and to family, and can incite deep, even ancestral emotions. The full moon always has to do with arriving at a peak and then promptly letting go. This full moon has just encountered an opposition with Venus in Capricorn, bringing us face to face with those little pleasures and joys, specifically the ones that have stuck around long term. Perhaps it has ignited some recognition of desires we want to work toward going forward. Because the opposition happens before the moon is full, the moon is still gathering light for this aspect. This is an invitation to bring in those Venus joys, pleasures, and desires.

Once the moon is full, it begins to lose light slowly, but immediately. It will encounter Mars, a disruptive, cutting, and sharp presence. In Capricorn, Mars is focused and ready to work. It wants to cut through distraction and meet its goals. You may feel forced to choose between nourishment and nurturing and hard work. But hopefully you can find a way to have both. Perhaps you’ll find yourself ready to let go of unproductive busywork, wanting to take on only those tasks and goals that really suit you and your desired direction. Meeting Mars after Venus can feel harsh or even harmful. There’s some hurt here that you may be ready to let go of. The moon will eventually meet Jupiter retrograde in Cancer, both bodies moving toward each other. There’s a sense of comfort here, a balm after the tricky encounter with Mars. Growth is possible; radical relaxation and nourishment is possible. Pay attention to what your body needs. Choose your tasks wisely. Prioritize joy and pleasure. This full moon offers the reaping of reward, but potentially only after some scarring.

ARIES - This moon lights up your 4th house of home and family. Are you feeling tension between your home life and your work life? Perhaps you’re being pulled home, desiring home, craving family comforts, while being, at the same time, pulled to focus on your career, your reputation, or your work in the world. What are you willing to let go of in order to care for your body and your family? What home, family, or private activities feel over-indulgent? Now is a great time to reassess.

TAURUS - This moon lights up your 3rd house of siblings, local travel, neighborhood, and communication. Travel, education, and spiritual ambition may be pulling focus right now, but you may find a wealth of comfort in your local community, with your siblings, or in getting some quiet time to write. How can you go inward to go outward?

GEMINI - This moon lights up your second house of money. It’s time to take inventory of your finances. Have you been saving? Investing? Paying off your debts? It may be time to make a plan. Be gentle with yourself as you navigate this and remember that your worth is not tied to your assets. If you’ve been overly cautious with your spending, could you loosen your grip a little bit? If you’ve been getting hit by taxes and debts, can you reach out for help, refinance, some loans, or find a new way to relate to your finances?

CANCER - This Full Moon is for you, baby! Jupiter has been in your first house since June. How do you feel? Expanded? Lucky? Waterlogged? Don’t forget your lymphatic drainage! (Dry brushing, walking, hopping on a vibration plate, or bouncing up and down work great!) This Full moon acts as a spotlight on how you’re doing. So how are you doing? It also pulls focus between you and your partner. Perhaps you’ve been putting a lot of energy into your relationship and it’s time to do some self-care. If you’ve been overdoing it on self-care, take a step back and see how you can be of service to others.

LEO - This Full Moon lights up your 12th house of retreat and behind the scenes activity. What behind the scenes activity??? Leo lives life out loud! But don’t forget to nurture your quiet space or your health might suffer! Take a look at how you’re doing on the inside.

VIRGO - This Full Moon falls in your 11th house of Friendship. Have you been craving sweet time with friends, big potlucks or dinners, game nights? Want to host a nice gathering for your loved ones? Your community is expanding with Jupiter in your 11th house and this moon wants you to pay attention and accept the love. With Mars ruling your 8th house, you may be experiencing some grief in the process of reclaiming your sense of fun and friendship.

LIBRA - The moon lights up your 10th house of career and life direction. Family might be pulling on you for attention, but take this time to let yourself dream and remember. What did you want to do when you were a kid? What lights you up? Now is a time to truly enjoy your career and your work. You’ve worked hard to nurture it, so let it nurture you!

SCORPIO - This moon lights up your 9th house of expansion, foreign travel, higher learning, and religion. You’re reaching for something, and your world is expanding because of it. While you might not be able to get away from your daily tasks and responsibilities just now, do your best to take care of these and give yourself time to dream big.

SAGITTARIUS - This moon is lighting up your 8th house of grief, death, and shared finances. Have you spent time with yourself lately to nurture any grief that may be present? You may be so focused on making ends meet that you’re forgetting to take care of what matters on a non-physical level. If you’re fighting debts or taxes, take some time to organize your finances and make a plan for the year.

CAPRICORN - This moon is lighting up your 7th house of partnership and relationships. You always love a nurturing partner, and you might be feeling this especially strongly. But you’ve got things to do with your own self, body, health, or identity! With Saturn still in Pisces, you may be relishing the solar and martial energy in your first house, giving you drive and direction when it’s felt nebulous for awhile now. But the moon is calling your attention to partner and to other. Let others help you. Allow yourself to nurture and be nurtured.

AQUARIUS
- This moon lights up your 6th house of daily routine, health, and illness. Don’t forget to be in your body. Get a lymphatic drainage massage or bounce on a little trampoline. Do some hardcore bodily self-care and don’t let your critical mind take over.

PISCES - This moon lights up your 5th house of children, creativity, and fun. Have you been taking advantage of Jupiter in this house? Having fun? Playing games? Your community is energized and ready to hang out, but are they getting too serious? Bring some nurturing to your fun times. Cook a meal or offer a listening ear. And don’t forget that sometimes cutting ties or taking time apart from certain friends can free up space for something new and more aligned.

New Moon in Capricorn // January 18, 2026

On January 18, 2026, the moon is new at 2:51pm Eastern.

The new moon on January 18, 2026 occurs at 28° Capricorn. The moon is in detriment in Capricorn, meaning that it’s a bit uncomfortable, unable to act out its desires for comfort, nurturing, and safety in a straightforward way. The moon in Capricorn wants stability, forward movement, and practicality, but doesn’t fully know how to feel its way through to these things. This new moon is conjunct both mercury and mars, adding both a quality of intellect and planning as well as action and followthrough.

Saturn, the ruler of this new moon, is in Pisces, on its way to a conjunction with Neptune and making an exact sextile to Uranus in Taurus. All of these planets will change signs in the upcoming months leading to big, monumental change for us all. While new moons are generally times of beginning, this new moon happens in the last degrees of Capricorn and its ruler, Saturn, is in its last degrees of Pisces. We could call this the beginning of the end. The next Saturn-ruled new moon in just under a month will be ruled by Saturn in Aries for the first time in about 30 years.

Capricorn is all about accomplishing something real. But what if what we’ve thought was real has had a makeover? What if the ladder we’re climbing is leaning against the wrong wall? We may need to dream bigger, brighter, crazier, before we can take steps to accomplish what we want to create. This new moon feels like an opportunity to take inventory, to dream, to be authentic, rebellious, and innovative. Get out a pen and paper and let your imagination run wild. Reality is what we make of it. We’re limited only by our expectations, our assumptions.

This new moon is supported by Jupiter in the opposite sign, by Saturn, the planet of reality, by Neptune, the planet of fantasy and dreaming, and by Uranus, the planet of spontaneous combustion for the sake of freedom. Whether you take it and run or let it simmer under the surface, this moon has something new in store for us when it comes to things that are really really old.

ARIES - This new moon takes place in your 10th house of career. What dreams have been simmering under the surface for some time? It’s time to build what you really want to build. Take a risk. Do the work. Start the project. You don’t have to wait for everything to change to start something new. Get ahead of it.

TAURUS - This new moon takes place in your 9th house of foreign travel, higher education, religion, and belief systems. Where do you want to go? What outdated beliefs have you let go of and what’s ready to take their place? Take some time to journal, to get into your body, and maybe even throw some intentions into the fire.

GEMINI - This new moon takes place in your 8th house of grief, death, and shared resources. It’s time to pay off your debts, get your finances in order, and take ownership of your money. Saturn has been a heavy hand of responsibility on your career over the last two years, while Neptune just wants to dream and fantasize. Now’s the time to let go of whatever isn’t working and start in a new direction. Commit, keep dreaming, and take radical responsibility. If you’re feeling grief, just let it come. It may have something to teach you.

CANCER - This new moon is happening in your 7th house of partnership, marriage, and relationships. You’ve been going through a glow-up with Jupiter transiting your first house and now it’s time to put some energy into your relationships. Whether you’re single or partnered, take some time to dream of the kinds of relationships you want. Smile at a stranger. Leave your partner a love note. Book a romantic getaway. It’s time to renew and update your vows or say adios.

LEO - This moon is happening in your 6th house of daily routine, work, and illness. Have you been having a tough time, Leo? Re-up on your self-care. Go to a workout class. Get in a daily walk. Start a journaling practice. Find something you can do that feels active and supportive to both your body and your mind.

VIRGO - This moon takes place in your 5th house of creativity, pleasure, and children. While your relationships may have felt heavy or nebulous for awhile, your fun doesn’t have to suffer! Take some time for some structured fun. A pottery class, a game night, or a long hike could be just what you need to feel rejuvenated in your joy. If you have kids, think about your relationship with them. What do you want it to be? How can you get there?

LIBRA - This moon is happening in your 4th house of home and family. Building a home takes time, effort, and patience, but you may find yourself with the momentum to get it going now. While daily life or your health might have felt heavy over the last couple years, your home can be your safe space. What do you want it to feel like? Make it work for you. Your home is part of your daily routine.

SCORPIO - This moon is happening in your third house of siblings, communication, and neighborhood. Lighten up and get out there! Start a podcast! Write a blog! What gems have you yet to discover in your town? A new neighbor might surprise you. If you don’t like something in your community, you have the power to make a change.

SAGITTARIUS - This new moon is happening in your 2nd house of finances. Everything feels heavy while Saturn is transiting your 4th house of home and family, and money takes on a lot of the pressure. But now’s a good time to make a change. How can you relate to money in a more positive way? What beliefs are you ready to leave behind and what renewed, supportive beliefs are ready to take over? Open up that savings or investment account. Your experience with money can change starting now.

CAPRICORN - This new moon happens in your first house, the house of YOU, your body, your character, and identity. Something new is brewing. You’re feeling active, motivated, and sharp. But you might not totally be able to see where you’re going just yet and that’s okay. Trust the process. Make the lists. Include others rather than going it alone.

AQUARIUS - This new moon happens in your 12th house of retreat, mental health, and isolation. It’s hard to see what’s going on in the 12th house sometimes, as it happens behind the scenes. But something is happening there, and it may have to do with your money, assets, or material wealth. You’re having a breakthrough. Don’t stop your feelings and let it flow.

PISCES - This new moon is happening in your 11th house of friendship, community, hopes, and dreams. You may have felt stifled the past few years with Saturn in your first house. But don’t fret, because it’s getting ready to leave for good, and this new moon in the 11th house of friendship offers hope to your social life. Don’t be afraid to host an event for your friends. Say yes to the invitation. You’re starting to be ready to get out there again.

Neptune into Aries // JANUARY 26, 2026

Neptune has been in Pisces since April 2011. YEAH! That’s a long dang time. And now it’s FINALLY moving into the next sign, Aries, until March 23, 2039.

Neptune in Pisces changed the social landscape. It brought us social media, the rise of the influencer. It popularized yoga, meditation, sound baths, and therapy, bringing New Age, WooWoo culture to the mainstream. Neptune in Pisces capitalized on dreaminess, fantasy, and lack of boundaries.

Neptune in Aries will be quite different. From a quiet, slow, receptive and reflective water sign to an impulsive, hot, and quick fire sign. While we don’t know exactly how it’ll all play out, I think we can expect to see us culturally come down from on top of the mountain and into the fight that is this life. Instead of meditating, we’re protecting each other in the streets. Instead of love and light, we’re reaching for our weapons, both literal and figurative, both the sword and the pen. We’ve already seen some Robinhood style violence. We want this world to change and we’re ready to change it. While violence is hopefully not the answer, we’ll find ourselves accessing more passion, activity, and strength in our change-making.

Wherever Aries is in your birth chart is a place of heat, fire, and quick action. Neptune adds a slower, wetter, more nebulous quality which may feel quite at odds with the Aries energy. Neptune is dreamy and nebulous while Aries is sure and direct. So Neptune will add a potentially unfamiliar and uncomfortable quality to the topics of your Aries house.

Remember that this is a LONG transit, and you will experience it most potently as Neptune approaches planets or angles in your chart. Want a more personalized reading? Book with me here!

ARIES - Neptune will be transiting your first house of self, body, character, and identity. This may be a time of accessing more fantasy, creativity, and spirituality. You may feel lower energy at times and may experience some confusion, fogginess, or an unusual lack of direction or followthrough. You may question who you are and the direction you’re going. Neptune transits are a good time for rest, taking things slow, and doing what you can to support your physical and mental wellbeing. Taking up an active but meditative practice like tai chi, journaling, yoga, walking, or even something more intense like boxing, could be helpful during this time. Don’t overdo it and try to stay in your body.

TAURUS - Neptune will be transiting your 12th house of retreat, isolation, and mental health. This may feel like a more behind-the-scenes transit unless Neptune makes contact with any planets in your chart. Neptune in the 12th can create mental confusion or fogginess. You may feel inspired by being alone or doing things on your own. It could be a great period of time to take a wellness retreat. Be careful of what you can’t see. Both the 12th house and Neptune can hide things, so always get as much information as you can before taking action when big consequences are involved.

GEMINI - Neptune will be transiting your 11th house of friendship, groups and alliances, community, and hopes and dreams. Dream big when it comes to these topics, but make sure you’re not giving too much away or becoming too identified with those around you, as Neptune can blur boundaries. You may begin to lean more into friendships that ignite creativity, musicality, and spiritual awareness within you. You may be drawn to friendships that are dreamier, more intimate, and less active than you’re used to.

CANCER - Neptune will be transiting your 10th house of career, life direction, and reputation. Your career could take a spiritual or creative turn, could feel more draining than usual, or what you want for your career could expand as you dream and fantasize of a different kind of life. Embrace the unknown and the unfamiliar. Trust the process.

LEO - Neptune will be transiting your 9th house of foreign travel, higher education, and religion. This could ignite a spiritual awakening of some sort as your belief system becomes more Neptunian for a time, meaning more dreamy, less boundaried, and more spiritually connected. You may find expansion through an art practice or through travel, fantasizing about foreign places or diving deep into learning. Be careful to avoid conspiracy narratives and always check your facts.

VIRGO - Neptune will be transiting your 8th house of death, grief, and shared resources such as taxes, debts, inheritance, and partner’s finances. This could be a time of fogginess or lack of clarity regarding finances. Make sure to take extra care when taking on debt that you can afford it and have a plan to pay it off. Keep your finances in good order. There may be issues or confusion when it comes to shared resources, so make sure you know what’s going on when it comes to your money, especially when you share it with others.

LIBRA - Neptune will be transiting your 7th house of marriage and partnership. This could be a time of more romantic or fantasy thinking when it comes to romantic partnerships and close friendships. Neptune’s dissolving of boundaries can invite more intimacy and romance to your love life. But be careful that you’re not committing to something that’s just a fantasy. Take your time in relationships, especially when legal contracts are involved, whether business or personal. Neptune can make reality difficult to see.

SCORPIO - Neptune will be transiting your 6th house of daily routine, work, and illness. This could be a period of time of lower energy or mood, though it could also be a time to fantasize and dream about what you want your daily routine to look like. Incorporating a meditation, journaling, yoga, or art practice could be extremely supportive to your wellbeing during this time.

SAGITTARIUS - Neptune will be transiting your 5th house of creativity, joy and pleasure, and children. This could be a time of increased fertility, both for having physical children but also for doing a creative practice. Your creativity may take on a dreamier quality and you may be more drawn to music, poetry, spirituality, or art in general. You may at times feel uncertain about how to create, but let this curiosity guide you and don’t be afraid to throw spaghetti at the wall (figuratively…or literally! You do you!)

CAPRICORN - Neptune will be transiting your 4th house of home, family, and parents. This may be a time of diving into your ancestry, uncertainty about your living situation, or a change in your relationships with family members or parents. You may begin to fantasize about moving or changing your home, or it may feel like your home life is dissolving in some way. The concept of “home” or “family” could take on new meaning as you question what you want and need as far as roots and private comforts. This also may be a time of giving more of your energy to parents, family members, or your home. If you begin to feel drained, don’t forget to take care of yourself and ask for support.

AQUARIUS - Neptune will be transiting your 3rd house of communication, siblings, and neighborhood. The third house can also relate to personal spiritual practice. This may be a time in which you become more poetic, more spiritual, or more creative in the ways you communicate. You may find yourself getting really into social media and the fantasy it can offer. You may feel more connected to siblings or your neighborhood, as Neptune can dissolve boundaries.

PISCES - Neptune will be transiting your 2nd house of money and finances. You could find yourself spending more money, giving more money, or fantasizing about new ways to make money. Be careful not to let the fantasy of a quick buck take over sensible spending, saving, and investing habits. Try your best to get a conscious hold on your finances so you’re not left wondering where all your money has gone! And of course, if you have extra funds that you want to give away to causes you care about, now could be a great time for that, as long as you’re not giving at the expense of your own needs!
