The Big Events

FULL MOON IN LIBRA // April 1, 2026

We start the month out with a Full Moon at 12° Libra, our first Full Moon since eclipse season. The Full Moon in Libra draws our attention to connection, balance, and beauty. Libra, as an air sign ruled by Venus, is particularly concerned with social connections, wanting to make sure everyone is happy and feeling included. The Moon in Libra is hyper-sensitive to who is being left out, unable to get the nourishment they need.

This Moon is ruled by Venus in Taurus, her other domicile. This gives the moon an extra sweet and connective quality, as Venus can operate well here. Venus is in the 8th place from the Moon, a place which we call averse, meaning she can’t see the Moon, and is operating on instinct to support the Moon in her Libra house. The 8th place is a place of grief and death, as well as shared resources. With the Moon supported by such a strong Venus here, it makes me wonder if we’ll see some positive developments when it comes to matters of money as well as to matters of grief. Perhaps some healing can take place under this moon.

The moon is also making a square to Jupiter in Cancer, the Moon’s own sign. This is a deeply supportive and nourishing aspect, though the square nature of the aspect may require some action to be taken in order to get the healing and connection that’s possible.

New Moon in aries // April 17, 2026

This month’s new moon takes place at 27° Aries, a sign that currently hosts Neptune, Mercury, Mars, and Saturn as well as the Sun & Moon. Aries is an active, impulsive sign, concerned with its own way of doing things. Aries is the hot head, the race car driver, the spark before the flame, the sharpness of the arrow.

With Mars as its ruler, Aries can be aggressive, passionate, and even war-like. With Mars, the ruler of this moon, in its own sign of Aries and the same sign as the moon, we can be sure to expect these martial, Aries qualities to be on full display. Expect heat, passion, and a bit of acting before thinking. It’s a good time to remember to take a deep breath and slow down, though you may only remember to do that after-the-fact!

The Moon does have a square to Jupiter, which can work to temper some of this explosive energy, or can work to enhance it. Jupiter is lucky and beneficial, but it can also help things to grow. Let’s hope it acts as a healing balm in this case.

Uranus is finally leaving Taurus and entering Gemini for good! We had a taste of this last year from July 7, 2025 - November 8, 2025, but now Uranus will fully be in Gemini until May 22, 2033. Quite a while!

Uranus is the planet of rebellion, revolution, instability, and chaos in the name of freedom and authenticity. It’s one of the slowest moving planets, invisible to the naked eye along with Neptune and Pluto. Its movements tend to be consequential.

With Uranus in Gemini, we can expect instability, disruptions, and big changes in the realms of communication, technology, and transportation, as Gemini is concerned with all of these things. Gemini is about collecting and sharing information, the way a bee collects and shares pollen. There’s something integral to the social fabric of society that is under Gemini’s domain, and this may be subject to Uranus’s whims over the next 7 years.
